A core is the defective part in your car which you are fixing by purchasing a
replacement from us. Many of our parts have core deposits on them. This means
that we require your old part back. In order to ensure that we get your old part
back, we charge a temporary deposit. Once you have removed the defective part
and replaced it with the part you purchased from us, ship the original core back
to us. We will cover the shipping of your core for just $12. When we get your
good part back, we promptly refund the deposit.
How to Return a Core?
To return
the core, place the old core in the same box as the replacement and ship it back
to us. If you purchased the optional return shipping from us, attach the
supplied UPS sticker on top of the box. Record the UPS tracking number. Put the
UPS label over the old shipping label. Do not cut or modify the sticker in
anyway. Hand to any UPS driver or return at an authorized UPS location. Most
parts are too big for drop boxes. See UPS.com for locations. If you are shipping
yourself, Click Here.
All cores must be received within 90 days for full credit.
Cores received after that time are subject to a late core fee and market rates.
Please see below to determine which cores are good and will be receiving credit.
Core refunds are credited once a week. Please allow two weeks to receive your
core refund from when we receive the core. We guarantee all good cores will be
refunded within two weeks of us receiving the core.
If you paid via credit card,
we will put the refund right back on your card. Once we process the refund back
to your card, depending on your particular credit card company, it can take up
to 3 business days for the refund to post. If you paid via COD or other, we will
mail you a check.
Following up on your Core Credit?
Please do not call or email
about core credits until 1) You have checked the date that we received your core
by entering your tracking number at ups.com 2) Have waited at least two weeks
from that date and 3) Have already checked your credit card statement or mail
box. We appreciate your understanding in this. Thank You.
What is a Good Core?
The general rule is that if the item is not damaged, disassembled or frozen you
will get a full refund. Non rebuildable cores might not be refundable. Please do
not ship us a core pre-disassembled. Disassembled units may not get credit.
