Toyota Power Steering Rack
Toyota has launched a variety of models namely, Toyota Corolla Altis, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Toyota Innova, Toyota Prado, Toyota Landcruiser and Toyota Alphard. The steering system plays a major role in your car. There are two types of steering – power steering and manual steering. The power steering system involves many parts like steering pump, steering gear box and steering rack. The Toyota power steering rack plays an important role in the smooth movement of the car. The Toyota power steering rack converts the rotational motion to linear motion to move the car wheels.
When you turn the steering wheel the steering pump passes the high pressure fluid to hit the piston. The piston in the cylinder moves the Toyota power steering rack to force the wheels to move forward. The driver need not give full pressure on the steering wheel. The Toyota power steering rack responds to the steering wheel. From there it passes on the energy or motion to the pinion gear, that transfers it on to the Toyota power steering rack. The pinion gear and rack have teeth in them which meshes together making the rotating motion of the pinion gear move the rack side to side. This coordination helps the tire movement while making a turn as you spin the steering wheel. Hence the steering wheel, piston gears, Toyota power steering rack and the tie rods guide the direction of the car. If you come across any problem it is advisable to replace your Toyota power steering rack.
