Scion A/C Compressor
To get a comfortable and cool driving experience in your car, the air conditioning system should be in perfect working condition. You can find many components in the air conditioning system which include accumulator, compressor, drier, condenser, evaporator, expansion device and so on. Among these components, the Scion AC compressor is called the heart of the air conditioning system. The Scion AC compressor is known so for its function. If you suspect any change in the cooling effects of the air conditioning system, then you need to solve the issue to enjoy the cool driving experience.
Like the human heart which pumps the blood, the Scion AC compressor pumps the refrigerant throughout the system. It also acts as a junction which divides the high-pressure and low-pressure sides of the system. The Scion AC compressor driven by a serpentine belt attached to the engine, regulates and circulates the refrigerant throughout the system. On getting appropriate signal from the AC control unit, the belt is engaged and disengaged to the engine with the help of an AC compressor clutch. So, for the Scion AC compressor to give its best, both the clutch and the pulley should be functioning properly. The Scion AC compressor draws the refrigerant from the evaporator in the low-pressure side, compresses into high pressure gas and pushes it to the condenser in the high-pressure side for cooling the interiors. If you can sense some noise and burning smell under the dash, then you need to check the working condition of the AC compressor.
