An oxygen sensor is an electronic device that measures the proportion of oxygen in the emission. It has an important role in modern electronic fuel injection and emission control. The oxygen sensor is highly used to determine whether the air fuel ratio of the combustion engine is high or low. The Saab oxygen sensor is placed before and after a catalytic converter. This demand causes a voltage to build up, due to transportation of oxygen ions through the sensor layer. The lean mixture causes low voltage, since there is an oxygen excess.
