So it is said to be the heart of AC system. A compressor is nothing but a motor or a pump. The AC system has an inlet section which is the low pressure section and the outlet section which is the outlet section. The inlet side does the suction or the absorption process and the outlet side releases the liquid which is unwanted. The compressor absorbs the hot air from the other atmosphere and cools it. The liquid waste that remains after the cooling process is exited through the outlet. If the compressor is worn or damaged, the AC system itself will be damaged. It is better to replace the compressor, once you suspect a problem with its working.
