AC system, like any other device cannot function as a sole component. It has various parts in it out of which, the AC Compressor is the heart of the AC unit. AC compressor is connected to the engine of the vehicle via belt. AC Compressor is nothing but a pump similar to the motor pumps in the house which perform the function of suction. An AC system can be split into the low pressure section and the high pressure section. The inlet is the low pressure section and the outlet is the high pressure section. In an AC compressor, the refrigerant gas is compressed and transferred to the outlet. The compressor sucks the refrigerant gas from the evaporator through the inlet. It is then compressed in the AC compressor. The gas that is compressed here is then transferred to the condenser through the outlet.
