Any air conditioning system has two heat exchangers to the least. One of it is the evaporator and the other is the condenser. There is a flow of refrigerant in a heat exchanger, either it may be an evaporator or a condenser. This transfers heat to the cooling medium, either drawing or dropping out. The cooling medium can be basically considered as the air or the water. The function of the AC evaporator is to cool the air which causes heating of the refrigerant. This can be made possible by the reverse process of the heat flow. The refrigerant is basically cooled and the air is relatively hotter. Now, when the hot air flows through the AC evaporator, the air is cooled leading the refrigerant to get hotter.
