The Cadillac XLR power steering rack is a device that is made up of a cylinder which in turn consists of the piston in it. There are two fluid ports in the piston through which a fluid enters the steering rack. This fluid makes the piston rotate and the rotational force of the piston is used to aid the power performance of the steering system. There is a connection between the piston and the rack. The piston that is connected to the rack has one fluid port on each side of the piston. A higher-pressure fluid is supplied at one side of the piston and this force of the fluid forces the piston to move. This movement provides the power assist to moves the rack.
