This happens in reverse when the cooling effect has to be controlled. When the cooling effect is reduced, the opening of the valve contracts, reducing the flow of refrigerant. The AC expansion device is connected to the sensor bulb to monitor the cooling effect. If the bulb pressure is increased, it opens the valve and more refrigerant flows.
