The AMC Eagle A/C clutch is comprised of three parts namely the magnetic coil, pulley and hub. The magnetic coil of the AMC Eagle A/C clutch is mounted in the front of the compressor and is positioned closely inside the pulley. The pulley provided in the AMC Eagle A/C clutch is mounted on the bearing mount extension of the compressor. The hub of the AMC Eagle A/C clutch is fastened to the end of the input shaft of the compressor. The hub is placed slightly above the surface of the pulley. When current is introduced into the coil, the coil becomes magnetised. Then the magnetism is transferred into the pulley and it pulls the hub down to engagement. This is how the AMC Eagle A/C clutch enables the working of the pulley.
